Hi. My furnace seems to be running better since we adjusted the heat anticipator setting inside the thermostat. Even though everyone thought it should have been set to .4 or .5, we tried it at .3 because our gas valve says .3 and after doing some research on the web, it was worth a shot. Well, we came across advice from this one guy who said to set the heat anticipator to the same amp as what it says on the gas valve on the furnace. We did that and this is the best our furnace has run in 2 weeks. It is starting up and shutting down on it's own. If anyone knows anything about these settings, I could sure use more information. The manufacturer of the thermostat says that our heat anticipator should be set at between .4 and .5, but our furnace won't turn on or off at those settings. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
