We are considering buying an older home that has a complete unfinished basement. there is warped paneling on the basement walls. The owner did provide a disclosure that is marked basement seepage on north wall.
We really like the house but really want to be able to use the space in the basement. We noticed that when the paneling was up in the basement. there was no vapor barrier of any sort behind the paneling.
What would be other signs of leakage or seepage? The floor seems to be in great shape. No cracks.
