the need for a de humidifier. Is the basement damp and clamy? Do you have any windows or ventilation? There is a good product by the UGL Company that has a paint on vapor barrier that goes on the walls.
How about drainage on the outside of the house. Is the water draining away from the foundations on all four sides?
