I am looking for info (plans and trade secerts)on cinder block construction as well. I want to build a river cabin in Texas and flooding is possible. I want to have concrete flooring (slab) and interior and exterior sealed block walls. However, I am finding it difficult to find info regarding cinder block construction. Do you know the costs per linear foot compared to wood construction? I do realize thick walls will eat sq.footage but the strength and issue of possible water I feel are advantages.
