outlet/lighting problem; please help me!!!

Ya'll, I don't know a whole lot about wiring and such, but I really need some advice. In my bathroom, there is an electrical outlet and two lights hooked to the same switch. My electric toothbrush charger stays plugged in all the time. I unplugged it a few days ago and the lights went out. They won't come on unless you plug in the toothbrush (or something)and wiggle the plug, or sometimes you can just touch the light fixture closest to the outlet and both lights will magically come on. I can't foot the bill for an electrician. What's likely to be wrong here and is it something I can fix myself? I wish my daddy was still alive, because he could fix anything. If anybody know what to do, please, please, please, help me here. Thank Ya'll!
