My kitchen is 9'X 11' and I want to change the lighting over to recessed. I had an electrician over and he suggested using 7- 6 3/4" fixtures. The fourlights directly over counters will be on one switch, the one over the sink will be on another, and the last two which will be over another work station, dest, or table (to be determined) will be on another. All but the one over the sink will be on a dimmer. My question is: is the size he decided on, which he said is standard, to large. In other words can I get a good effect using perhaps a 5" or 4"? I am afraid the 7" will look to big.
Thank you in advance.
