We recently installed a new vinyl floor on top of an existing vinyl floor. (My wife placed a hot saucepan on the vinyl and it burnt the old vinyl floor.) The problem is this. After the new vinyl was put in place, we could see the butt-joints of the fiberock show up beneath the surface. The contractor that installed the vinylm, and the fiberock underlayment says that this is due to structural damage.
I can see that the floor is not caving in, but is actually risen in the middle of the kitchen. I am clueless as to what is causing this. Any help would be appreciated!!!!!
