...or at least let the contractor know you are willing to litigate for specific performance. the key to any legal or even potential legal process is DOCUMENT. document every single conversation and get everything you can in writing and hold on to them until you are completely satisfied. take the time to sit with an atty if necessary and list each step you need to perform...document what and when you have done them...use certified mail with return receipt for all communications with the builder
