i just got done doing this technique on my family room and it looks awesome. i also did the entire room...BY MYSELF.
the trick is...don't roll on the glaze. instead, gently dip your stippling brush in the glaze and dab it on in random patterns so that you don't get the roller lines.
i learned this little tip quickly.
what you want to do is stipple out to the edge of your area you are working, then when you redip your stipple brush, start about a foot away from the area you previously stippled and then work your way back towards the area, so that it blends and you don't get overlap which causes the very dark areas that look bad.
i found this technique worked perfect. it even allowed me to go grab a drink of water during the application AND apply the technique without anyone helping me.
