cracked ceramic tiles on staris

i purchased a home in which it has ceramic tiles on the steps. many are now cracked. these tiles instead of rubber grips so you wont slide they have a piece of ceramic to compliment the colour of the tile on the edge of each step of tile.well that part is cracked. the home owner has told me that they have no more of these tiles and i have been to many tile stores and they have told me that this particular tile has been discontinued.is there any way i can keep these tiles and do some type of repair work to camoflouge the cracks ?please respond
