I routinely slightly adjust depth on Gypcrete to accomodate doors sliding glass windows etc... as long as you'r depth changes are gradual and do not go below 1" but you might find a hot spot where the Gyp is thinner by the slider if the tubes are in front of it. but I would try to get 1 1/4 minimum if possible
