We have bought an 1860 home with VERY old basement windows that must be replaced ASAP.

We'd like to do this ourselves if there is a reasonable method and source for custom sizes - they aren't a stock size according to our construction pal.

We'd like top opening, vent-style outward windows with insect screens. Looking for vinyl clad wood or aluminum vinyl clad replacements.

Can you help me at all? I am a REAL novice. Thanks.
