Since we put in a new MOEN faucet in our bathroom, it makes a loud thumping noise when we shut off the hot water. The plumber said to drain all the water in the house. When we do this, the thumping stops for about 4-6 weeks, then returns. Every 6 weeks I drain all my water to fix this annoying problem but it always comes back.
Does anyone know the cause and how to permanently fix it?
