Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Light

The light on our ceiling fan stopped working. We replace the bulb with one from a working unit at Home Depot and light still does not work. The remote does work on the fan part of the unit. Am now wondering if the light sensor could be the problem. Any idea on how I can fix this?
