I just went through this and can still taste that wet metal taste. Make certain you also check the washer drain. Mine had a soap-mildew buildup in the washer drain that gave off fumes that took over my condo and make my eyes burn. Soapy-wet metal-rotten eggs. Mine was a Kenmore too. After cleaning the washer drain, I filled the washer with 1/2 gallon of bleach and let it sit for 10 min before running the cycle. I can't get it out of the dryer. Anyone else have a stackable and know how to treat this? Thanks
