I'd like to paint my brown stained/varnished? kitchen cabinets without having to sand them. My hands are a bit arthritic and I'd like to avoid the sanding process. I plan on painting them an "Autumn Wheat" from Sears. Can you tell me if I can expect them to look new-ish with paint? I guess I use a primer and need to paint two coats of "alkyd" paint? Do you have any recommendations and helpful hints. Thanks very much for your help.
