Most motion-detectors and sensors will have adjustments to make them 'cat-friendly', but in ten years of dozens of motion-detectors and many cats, I've never found settings that work reliably. You'll either have cats setting off the alarms anyway, or humans able to walk right by. Too flaky.
Summary of advice: rethink your alarm system so that it doesn't require motion sensor alarms. They tend to be used as needless add-ons, anyway. Secure ALL your doors and windows instead, and relax. Burglars don't come in through the roof. : )
