To keep it simple, just pull the lens cover off the "motion detector" part and put black electric tape in small strips on the inside. Start at the bottom of the lens going up about 1/4 inch or less at a time untill the motion wont detect anything below say waist height. The motion cant see through the tape and its just trial & error. Also burglars do come through the roof as well as the wall!
