It is really difficult to remove smoke odor because it is from tar residue that cleaners like Murphy Oil Soap can't dissolve. The inside of the drawers can be helped by placing newspapers in them and heating them with a hairdryer and then tossing them after they've cooled and had a chance to suck up some of the smell.
