The house l bought has just a light bulb in the fixture that is attached to the ceiling of the porch. I know most homes have the fixtures on the side of the wall next to the front door frame. This is an older home. My question is how do i disconnect all this and put in a new fixture that is prettier than just a bulb with no cover. I thought about a hanging type of fixture. Is this possible?? I have no clue about electricity.
