tankless water heater in series with small electric tank

have a new large house requiring multiple water heaters. considering putting a 5 gallon electric tank water heater in series with a tankless waterheater. Anticipating to eliminate the wait time for hand washing in the bathroom while benefitting from the tankless continued hot water supply for showers etc.

any ideas?
