Need to remove dark stain from cabinets

I'm buying a house that has good oak cabinets, but have been stained with avery dark finish, like a dark walnut. Unfortunately, the room is also fairly dark, and the cabinets only make it worse. My wife suggests painting, but I hate to cover ggod wood like that. Is there any way to strip or bleach out most of this stain? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
