When the controller on our system demands both 'hot water' and 'central heating' the three position valve is in the central (A+B) position which is normal, but when the central heating switches off and only the hot water is on, the three position valve is sticking in the A+B position so the water is taking ages to heat up. In order to get the valve to switch to position 'A' I have to turn off both 'Hot water' and 'Central heating'. If I then switch 'hot water' back on it works perfectly until it demands 'central heating' again then I'm back to square one. Could the problem be my Hot water tank thermostat ?
