a product from Sherwin William's called woodscapes. It comes in all colors and is a paint/stain. Made for exterior rough surfaces.

In my region, we have allot of cedar shake siding and it does very well and holds up, but I would never recommend it for a 13 year lasting coat. This needs reapplying every 5 to 7 years.
