Greetings again, not to mention a improperly vented furnace. You can't have a gas water heater or gas/oil furnace in a sleeping area or a closet off a sleeping area. Not just because of carbone monoxide, you can also sufficate if you appliance gets it's make up air from that space. I can gaurantee that most home owners do not know what to look for to cover all the dangers in the basement. Electrical shock is one concern, especially if it was done by some one other that an electrician. Don't skimp, Jason
