My father lives in an old house and it's a bit run down. With his recent broken leg (not the stairs fault) and my exploring toddler I feel it is now necessary to try to fix his stairs. He has one step in particular that is extra short and if you don't know it's there, you miss a step (as my husband experienced tonight). Is there a way that we can repair this short step to the original length? I then want to put down a tread covering just to be extra safe. Thanks for your help.
