Success in removing door knob

Paper clip did not work but I used a very small allen key. After 10 minutes of gentle knob turning, gentle knob pulling and gentle poking with the key, the knob came off. Certainly surprised me! Not very scientific and I am not sure I could reproduce it, however, it is off. Thanks for the suggestion.
