I just pulled up the carpet in my condo and discovered hardwood floors. The finish looks great there are no dark spots. The problem is someone spilled latex paint on the floor and then tracked it around. Is it possible for me to strip the floors and then just put a varnish on it without having to sand?? I would rather not have to sand the floor.
