With what Deecee said here. We bought preformed Wilsonart Laminate (the new glossy blackstar granite) tops at the local "blue" big box store for $17 per lineal foot, and they didn't charge for anything over two finished ends. That's great if you have multiple breaks anywhere in the kitchen.
It looks a whole lot better than what I would have been able to accomplish trying to lay it down on my own. And it probably would have cost almost as much for me to lay the laminate. Buy a preformed top.
