It depends on what the input voltage to your humidifier is. It may be that the new transformer is a replacement one for your existing transformer. You might check to see if your talking about a step up transformer or just a transformer with a higher (va) rating than the existing furnace trasnformer. The va rating will be on the metal or if its paper wrapp it will be there. Some old furnaces came with only a 20 va rated trasnformer and they cant handle an extra load in the circuit so we install higher VA rated xfrmers. If its a step up transformer I would need to know the input vltage and the output vlotage and also what voltage the humidfier requires. If yoiu can email me the schematic diagram I can help you.
