other than a quieter door opener design....let me guess you have a noisy chain drive. you should consider a good quality screw drive, which is much quieter. the other option is to better insulate the ceiling of the garage to dampen out the sound some. as far as vibration...the screw drive will cause less perhaps too...but its the nature of all the mechanisms in work. the rollers going thru the tracks ...you might lubricte both well to help the door ease up and down the tracker smoother-and thus a little quieter. good luck.
