autotrol Model # 1550-tc

I recently bought a home with the autotrol 1550-TC system installed
I haven?t any documents on the system
the water tastes very bad also the small tank has a clear tube & clear cap that is all rusted-up and the refrigerator has a cooling tank that is rusted-up too!
Can you put me in touch with a manual
any info the water is turning the tolites red
I use red-uot salt too!?
