We are buying a house and were told that there were wood floors underneath the existing (very old) carpet. When we were last there, we looked under the edge of the carpet and there seemed to be HUGE (1/8") gaps between the boards. Is this normal with old wood floors? What can we do if it's not? Please help, we're supposed to close on the house on Friday the 26th. Thanks.
