open truss roof

Bob i built a 24'wide x 30' florida room.I want to put a ridgeboard down the middle and make an open cieling with sky lights.i framed the walls with 2 x 4.im going to do the roof in 2 x 6 material.should i double up on the 2 x 6 ridgeboard or could i run a single one down the middle? oh i was planning on doing it in 2 x 6 @ 16" centers.Please email me
