Upstairs to hot but thermostat is downstairs, downstairs never catches up Posted by sa on January 6th, 2003 10:08 AM In reply to Furnace fan control by second thermostat... by jb on October 10th, 2001 04:18 PM [Go to top of thread]
I have just finished building a new two story home with a large area of the ceiling open for a loft effect for the master bedroom(entire upstairs). The downstairs cieling hight is 10 feet and upstairs is 8. Heres the problem; all of my heat goes up and the downstairs stays 64-66 degrees. Since the downstairs never actully get to the set temp +-70, and the thermostat is downstairs, the furnace runs constantly. I am roasting upstairs and nver comfortable downstairs.
I would appriciate any suggestion. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
