Yes, Mr./Mrs. King, it can be. Thankfully the problem is easy to cure. After the drywall is up and sanded, then you will want to put on a coat of primer. With a primer like BIN, it tends to make the "fuzzies" stand up, then you just lightly sand them off. Don't sand hard, just lightly with about 150 grit paper to remove them and leave the primer on the surface.
