I understand what you're saying but how does anyone learn without questioning? How does anyone find or get beyond their "limitations" without asking and exploring what's out there? We're all entitled to this, but in terms of home repair, it seems to bug you. Also I doubt there any statistics on the number of DIY that end dangerously, but I'd bet that the percentage is extremely small. With all respect, I think you're annoyed with people who are not like you.
