I am working an adobe home in Utah that is two stories high built in about 1855. I would like to cut an opening in the lower wall about 5' wide 7' tall except there is an open top opening just above with about 2' of wall remaining above the new hole to the old opening above. It is a bearing wall with joist and rafters on it. Can I head the opening off and fill it with grout to give it some integretity. Any comments please.
