Removing ceramic title floors

I am a novice do-it-youselfer, interested in removing my existing ceramic title floors around the front door landing area. It is currently on a concrete slab. I have be doing some searches on the process, but I can't seem to find any details or a step-by-step process. My next step probably will be the library. How difficult is it. I spoke with one installer, he just told me it has many steps, and that I will need a strong back. What are some of your experiences and should I just leave it to the pros?
