Carbon dust

Lately at my family cottage, we notice very dusty verywhere, I think it is from the oil furnance, it blows dust like carbon (blak), I open the cover of the furnace where I can see the controls in, and I noticed it has a lot of carbon ash around, may be some of this got into the blower,
I am not sure what caused it, is it the furnance is too old or may be is some thing else. I would appreciate some advise. Thanks Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
