I know the feeling! I've got two big dogs too and I wouldn't trade them for anything but they're hard on floors. If laminate floors will ruin with "water" damage then start thinking of other alternatives. Do you need to replace the whole floor or just the entrance? There are actually really nice vinyls and Pergo floors that would fool anyone into thinking it's real wood. You could also try tile or granite depending on your decorating style. Don't invest the time, energy and money in a floor that is likely to ruin at your pooches first mistake! Good luck finding a solution.
