Can bolts/pins used to support hook-on bed frame be fixed?

I have a bed frame that hooks into my headboard and footboard, but the "pins" installed in the headboard have broken. How do I know--the mattress fell while I slept.

There are two places where I can hook my mattress to allow for either a full or queen mattress set, and I can see the pins for a queen mattress, but not for a full which I own.

Can the pins be replaced, or is there another alternative--other than buying a queen mattress!
