I had a similar problem in my new house a few years back. What was happening was a condensation problem - cold air coming through the conduit meeting with the warm moist air in the house. By placing some insulation in the conduit where it entered the junction boxes, I was able to stop the slight condensation and the spontaneous setting off of my smoke detectors. This may be your problem as well. Good luck.
