I have an old hot water loop/cast iron radiator system with one zone. You would think that the matter of a radiator not heating would be simple to solve, but I can't figure this one out...
All the radiators on my first floor are heating properly, but the one (and only) on my second floor is not getting hot. I have bled it and I get the rush of air, but never get any water through the bleeder valve. My circulator runs fine and I believe that the main radiator valve is open on the upstairs radiator. The valve control is rusted and broken, so it is kind of hard to tell. Any ideas on how to try to solve this problem? It's gotten pretty cold here in the northeast.
