We have 3/4" pipe coming out of the water heater for about six feet but the rest of it is reduced to 1/2" and is ran that way throughout the house.
We measured the water pressure in the existing shower head and it was 55psi. We planned on tapping into those lines to run water to the second head. Do we really need to re-plumb that whole section of pipe to 3/4"? Including both hot and cold lines that is about 40 ft of pipe.
