My bedroom is upstairs on one end of the house, better known as a "loft". There is a small landing that overlooks the rest of the house, which is open. Our kids are getting older and I need privacy and a place to read and rest. We have built a half-wall out of tounge and groove, but it didn't help enough. All of the walls in the house are drywall but we have all wood trim, cabinets, and large beams running across the living room. I hate to waste the money spent on the tongue and groove half wall. I now want a full wall and door! Please let me know if anyone has any cool and practical ideas on how to finish or build a new wall up there.
