the glue has to set like contact cement does. If you roll it on and lay the tile down immediately it will take forever and ever to cure out and dry and then it will begin to forever seep through the intersection cracks.
Lay that glue down and wait about 20 minutes then lay. And also, you do not need much glue, less is best.
You also could have missed some spots that you could not see and that occured.
