Hi, Doug. Thanks for the tips. I think I'm beginning to sway toward this solution. A few questions (of course): How can I know how far to sink the screws and washers? Should I also use screws and washers on a particular schedule through to the lath (the joists, again, are 16" OC)? What's a "real" patching plaster? I currently have some Easy Sand. I thought a veneer plaster with the right admix or bonder might give the best and most durable finish over the repairs. Any thoughts? Thanks again.
