there will be some rough framing of the opening required after the old sliding patio door is removed..and then after the new pair of french doors are installed some finish carpentry will be required. this is assuming you will want to go back with a double french door setup. It is feasible and I recommend you hire it out to an experienced carpenter. good luck. LJ
