I, too, have asbestos in my "cottage cheese" ceiling, about 10%. I have heard that it is best to leave it alone, but the ceilings are so low in our basement, that the cottage cheese is often disturbed. Everytime we change a lightbulb, some comes loose. Also it is difficult to get rid of cobwebs without disturbing it. Can I remove it safely myself?
